Welcome to MA Responds, the online registration system for public health, health care, and emergency response volunteers.
MA Responds needs volunteers of all skill levels and backgrounds from both medical and non-medical professions. If you are a licensed or certified healthcare provider, a public health professional, a retiree, or an individual with an interest in helping the community, we invite you to complete the secure online registration process.
Volunteer Opportunities
Massachusetts works regularly with local providers, communities, and partners to support a variety of response activities across the Commonwealth. If you are interested in supporting these ongoing efforts, click Register Now to sign up. At a minimum, all volunteers are asked to register and pass a minimum of credentialing including background checks and professional licensures verification prior to being considered for deployment.
Volunteer opportunities will be shared on an as-needed basis. Volunteers will be contacted with these opportunities based on the frequency, specific needs, and details of incoming requests.
Join Your Local Medical Reserve Corps
37 locally managed Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) units made up of both medical and non-medical volunteers exist throughout Massachusetts. These MRC units also are currently providing local responses to events within their communities. If you are interested in joining your local MRC, please click the Register Now button below and find your MRC under Organizations or visit Find Your MRC for more information.
MA Responds is administered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is a partnership that integrates local, regional, and statewide volunteer resources to identify, credential, train, and mobilize volunteers during a health-related emergency or event.
